This is one of the greatest truths I’ve come to know about motherhood. However, we moms often compare ourselves to other mothers and chase perfection. Yet the quest is futile. There is no such thing as a perfect mother, and any mom who appears to be perfect or even to have it all figured out is surely struggling along with the rest of us; she’s just hiding it better!

So let’s try this: let’s recognize that parenting is hard. Let’s recognize that we’re the perfect mothers for our kids. We’re just what they need, and that’s something to be celebrated!
