Every Valentine's Day has an excess of candy! If we ate it all, we would grow sideways. When stuck for a gift, I make blonde brownie mason jar kits from solid chocolate. Because the recipe requires it, I hack up extra solid heart pieces. The receiver adds wet ingredients, and then bakes.
You’ll need:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 10 ounces chopped chocolate (from Valentine’s Day!)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup macadamia nuts
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Here’s how you make them:
- Place dry ingredients in a 1 1/2-quart mason jar.
- Attach directions.
To make the blondies, you’ll need 1/2 cup butter, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla and 1 jar Blondie Brownie Mix. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch pan. Blend eggs, vanilla and butter, then stir in blondie mix. Spread in pan. Bake until golden. Cool.
