Stop Bullying: Bullying From the Bully Perspective With Joani Plenty

Hi Heather! Thanks for sharing your perspective. I agree that attitude is more than half the battle (for bullying and life in general)! Thanks for reading and we hope you'll share your own tips on 30Second Mom, too!

Hi Heather! Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right...attitude IS everything. It's never too late for a person to change or learn from their mistakes. The moms that you speak of may know that they have a bad attitude and may struggle with it daily not knowing what to do about it or how to change it. At forty years old, I now appreciate everything my Grandmother did for me. Who knows how my life would have been and where I would be today if she hadn't taken me in, relocated so that I could go to the best schools and paid for all of my extra curricular activities whenever I wanted to try something new. Bullying is a chain that needs to be broken but placing blame or having, as you've said, a bad attitude regarding the subject, only perpetuates the negativity and the bullying. Good for you for writing about a parent's attitude affecting their child's attitude, directly or indirectly.

October is 'National Anti-Bullying Awareness Month'; if you'd like more information on the subject, contact me; I'd be glad to help you and your single mom community any way that I can!
