Nancy Avery Dafoe is a writer and retired English educator at the high school and community college levels. She has written six published books, including a hybrid memoir, An Iceberg in Paradise: A Passage through Alzheimer's, through SUNY Press. Dafoe has written three books on education, including The Misdirection of Education Policy, Writing Creatively, and Breaking Open the Box, all through Rowman & Littlefield Education. Dafoe's chapbook of poetry, Poets Diving in the Night, was published by Finishing Line Press. Her first novel, You Enter a Room, will be released this November, 2017.
