DIY Christmas Wreath Craft for Kids: Make an Easy Holiday Wreath Out of Construction Paper Crafts Holidays

Who says a Christmas wreath has to be made out of pine and holly? Have a holiday craft night and make these cute DIY holiday wreaths as a family. Just basic craft supplies are needed!

You'll need:

  • construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • ruler
  • paper plate
  • pencil

Here's how to make it:

  1. Using a ruler, draw lines on two shades of the green construction paper to make even strips. Cut the strips out.
  2. Cut the center of the paper plate out.
  3. Fold the strips over the inside of the cut out so that the ends are on the outside of the plate. Glue into place. Do this around the entire paper plate.
  4. Using scissors, cut the ends of each strip to look like a ribbon.
  5. Cut a bow out of a piece of red construction paper.
  6. Glue the bow to the bottom of the wreath.
  7. Cut small circles out of the construction paper and glue on to embellish the wreath. If desired, cut a candle out of the construction paper to add some "light" to the wreath.
