Stop throwing out those plastic lids! Holiday fun is to be had by all when you make this easy DIY Christmas tree out of them. It's a creative way to recycle and have some fun in the process.

You'll need:

Here's how to make it:

  1. Arrange the green lids on the construction paper to form a tree. Add the red lid to the top for the star and the gold lid to the bottom for the trunk.
  2. Lift each lid and apply glue to attach it to the paper. Allow to dry.
  3. For a more colorful tree, let your kids squish different colors of play dough into the lids after it has dried completely. Your child could also glue on pompoms instead of using the play dough.
