4-H Dog Project: Find This Dog Training for Kids in Your Area for a Better Behaved Fido!

Do you have a rowdy Rover or a frisky Fido? Look no further than your local 4-HThe Dog Project is open to children in grades 3-12 and offers classes in agility, rally, obedience, costume, tricks, drill, showmanship and conformation. Counties even host their own 4-H Dog Show at the end of the six-week training. Here’s what sets apart 4-H dog training from the rest of the pack:

  • Cost is minimal, only a $25 annual fee when you sign up your child on 4-H connect.
  • Mixed breed or purebred, all kinds of dogs are welcome. (Our Chihuahua rescue is even missing part of her ear and struts her stuff proudly on training days!)
  • Kids can earn a certificate in Canine Good Citizenship.
  • Children are having fun as they build a bond with their pooch and meet friends who love dogs, too!

Visit your county extension office to find The Dog Project in your area.
