Single Parents Are My Personal Heroes: Let Me Tell Why on National Single Parent Day by Tori Ulrich

All the single parents, all the single parents, put your hands up! You are champions. You work so hard, you do so much and most of you do it with no fanfare. You do the work of two, sometimes with support of another parent, or sometimes in spite of that same other.
Please know that you are doing an incredible job. Really, you are. I was raised by one of you for a while and though there were things that I wish had been different, I learned things that have made me a better human:
- how to be resilient
- to be a team player
- that sometimes life isn't fair
But also that love matters, no matter the number of parents. Your kids see you and will remember how hard you loved them. And though it may not seem like it now, they will be stronger because of you. I promise.
