Balancing Your Chakras Through Meditation: Which Practice Is Right for You? Mindfulness

A benefit of meditation practices is an ability to harness silence for healing. To tap into silence or what is referred to as life-force energy and centered space is essential to clear emotional and mental debris and release spiritual capabilities and awareness for transformation and balance.

Balancing your chakras through meditation is a valuable tool to bring about healing. There are many techniques to choose from. So which practice is right for you?

Here’s a few examples and the benefits:

  • Activating the Chakras Through Chakra Meditation: Though all meditation techniques balance and open chakras, activating the chakras is a focus on the way each individual chakra functions. The attention to a particular chakra is what begins to activate and balance it. As a result of our concentrated attention, the chakra releases and the capacities of that chakra are brought forward into our conscious awareness. Releasing any blocks, you will dissolve anxieties, become more focused and grounded and the chakra that’s activated will function at greater capacity and overall energy and aliveness will increase.
  • Chakra Meditation and Chakra Alignment: Chakra alignment is bringing into alignment the seven chakras, and into one flow of energy between them. When they align, we’re in a state of wholeness. Spiritually it is the metaphor of spiritual enlightenment. The technique is to focus on each chakra individually from bottom up, so when we reach the crown chakra, the chakras have a flow between them. The intention of chakra alignment is to bring life-force energy into our body-mind allowing the chakras to nourish our being. This is a powerful source of physical healing.
  • Chakra Cleansing Through Meditation: Throughout the day we interact with many different people and energies. The resonance can trigger us in different ways, which can lead to "stuck energy" in our system and/or an over or under abundance of energy in one or more of our chakras. This energy can be experienced as Hot or Cold. Hot is equal to too much energy and cold is too little. Certain chakras can also impact other chakras and be "stuck" in a negative feedback pattern. Simply feeling our own energy in the chakras, letting go of any tension and letting go of these impressions and energy patterns collected during the day cleanses the chakras.
