When your baby is a toddler and won’t eat broccoli, tell him he was as big as a bunch of broccoli when you were 27 weeks pregnant. (That should do the trick!) Baby is now 14 1/2 inches long and weighs about 2 pounds. He spends a lot of time curled up in fetal position now, though there’s still plenty of stretching and wiggling going on. Have you noticed that Baby will move when there’s a loud noise? That’s because those little ears are working better as each day passes. You may not be on a sleep schedule anymore, but your little one is developing a sleep pattern already. His lungs are not fully developed yet, but there is a chance he could breathe on his own with medical help if born now. Hiccups may be Baby’s newest trick. And, yes, they are completely normal!

About Mom

Your breasts are way ahead of the game and may start producing colostrum – Baby’s first milk – now. If you notice some leakage, there’s no cause for alarm unless it is tinged pink with blood. If you notice that, call your health care provider ASAP. If the leakage is bothersome, grab some breast pads the next time you’re in the baby department oohing and aahing over baby clothes.

While leakage is normal, some symptoms are not. Call you doctor right away if you experience any of the following:

• Baby is kicking less than usual.
• Vomiting, diarrhea or severe constipation.
• Vaginal bleeding.
• Itching for no apparent reason.
• Abdominal pain.
• Increased vaginal discharge, especially if it is bloody.
• Bleeding from the vagina.
• Pain when you urinate.
• Fever above normal range.
• Pelvic pressure accompanied by contractions or back pain.
• Swelling.
• Dizziness or fainting.
• Severe headache.
• Blurry vision.

You know your body, mama. If you feel something is off, always call your midwife or OB-GYN.

Now that you’re nearing the third trimester, you’re probably feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement about meeting your baby. You may also be experiencing the need to “nest.” You are no doubt feeling more tired than you ever thought possible. This is no surprise as you are growing a person!

So why don’t you put up your feet and relax? Perhaps you’d like to curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch one of the many wonderful movies about pregnancy. With the help of her hot best friend, Juno finds her unborn child a "perfect" set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt.

• Waitress: Jenna's (Keri Russell) secret ambition is to save enough money from her waitressing job to leave her overbearing and controlling husband. Jenna is a sharp, sassy woman with a gift for making unusual pies whose recipes are inspired by the trials, tribulations and circumstances of her life. An unwanted pregnancy changes the course of events.

• Where the Heart Is: When her boyfriend ditches her, a pregnant 17-year-old (Natalie Portman) finds herself stranded at a Walmart in a small Oklahoma town. After she takes out a secret "home" in a corner of the store, the jobless and broke young lady soon finds a host of colorful new friends willing to help her as she embarks on a new life.
