Bananas are a powerhouse ingredient for many reasons. When used in baking things like banana bread recipes, they add sweetness and moisture. When used in making things like healthy ice cream recipes, they add creaminess. And, no matter how you use them, bananas pack a nutritional punch, providing vitamins, antioxidants and fiber, among the other health benefits of bananas.
This creamy whipped banana mousse recipe incorporates my favorite banana benefits – sweetness, creaminess and nutrition – in one easy, delicious dessert recipe. And, with only five wholesome ingredients, it's simple to make using your trusty blender!
In addition to healthy bananas, the secret ingredient that adds nutrition to this creamy whipped banana mousse recipe is Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt provides not only a ton of protein and nutrition (just check out all the health benefits of Greek yogurt), but also an extra-creamy texture that makes this such a great snack.
This creamy banana mousse is low in sodium and naturally sweet. The best part is that, in just a matter of minutes, you can turn bananas and plain Greek yogurt into an unexpected treat. This easy dessert recipe is made with just five ingredients and has a prep time of only about five minutes. Here's what you need to make this gluten-free recipe: milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, bananas and low-fat plain Greek yogurt. You combine the milk, maple syrup, vanilla and bananas then whip them in your blender. Next, you fold in the yogurt until well combined. So easy!
You can serve this delightful high-protein banana mousse on its own or garnished with your favorite toppings (chopped nuts, diced fresh fruit, chocolate chips, granola, chocolate sauce, berries, etc.). We enjoyed it with granola, topped with fresh berries, for breakfast. Delicious!

- Serve immediately or allow to chill for at least an hour before serving. Garnish with your favorite toppings or enjoy all on its own! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
