Ears are a part of the body that don’t get enough love. We use them every day and they enrich our lives, so it’s important to protect them. Limit your family's exposure to loud noises such as:
- power tools
- loud music
- gun ranges
Watch out for loud music and earphones. Exposure to eight hours of 90-decibel noise can cause hearing loss. Cut the time in half for each additional 5 decibels. For example, it takes four hours of exposure to 95 decibels of noise to cause hearing loss. Adjust accordingly.
