Spring Into Well-being: 15 Inspirational Tips for a Healthier You

Brilliant sunrays kiss new buds as they sprout up from the ground while birds happily chirp in the trees. This is the scene outside my window as I write. I love this moment because it is a sign that spring is upon us.

March in the northern hemisphere marks the start of spring. However, the specific start depends. If you are into meteorology, you will use calendar months to define the change of seasons. Spring typically begins on March 1. For those more astronomically inclined, the start of this new season is marked by the vernal equinox, which usually occurs around March 20 or 21, when the sun crosses the celestial equator, roughly dividing the day and night into equal parts. Or you can just associate the start of spring with the blooming of flowers or the arrival of certain birds as I do.

Whichever way you mark the change from winter to spring, it is a time of rebirth and renewal and a perfect time to reflect on your health. I have long held that one's best insurance plan is the one that involves taking care of oneself three-dimensionally in mind, body and spirit. One feeds the other.
