Breastfeeding Helps Build Babies' Immunity to Viruses!

Breastfeeding is one of the best ways to help build your baby’s immune system response.This past winter, almost everyone in our house – including me, my husband and two sons – were dealing with viruses, numerous times. But my baby? She was fine – thanks to breastfeeding!

Why is this? An amazing thing about breastfeeding is that when a mom who is nursing has a virus, she passes on the antibodies that her body produces to her baby. This helps the baby fight the germs, and sometimes the baby doesn’t even develop the cold at all!
