If the colder, darker months of the year get you down, you should know that it doesn't have to be that way. Here are three ways to boost your mood:
- Get some exercise in the morning or mid-day. It can help boost your mood by increasing the blood flow to your brain.
- Add some citrus foods to your lunch and dinner. The chemical reaction to the citrus scent can boost your mood. Try adding citrus wedges to your hot tea or brewing a cup of citrus tea.
- Snack on nuts like almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds. They contain arginine, an amino acid that stimulates blood flow, allowing nutrients to move more quickly.
