With kids in enclosed spaces, fall and winter are prime months for gastroenteritis, or the stomach flu. It's not fun! The flu is usually caused by viruses and can spread quickly in a classroom.
If your child has been vomiting or has diarrhea, keep him or her out of school until both symptoms have stopped for more than 24 hours.
