If you take dietary supplements, make sure to do a "spring cleaning" once a year.
- Toss any supplements that are more than two years old (after two years they lose much of their potency).
- Get rid of any that are past their expiration dates.
- While you're at it, clean out the medicine chest, too.
When you are finished, make sure to store all supplements and medicine in a cool, dark and dry place (not the bathroom), and out of the reach of children.
