It's hot out there! Staying hydrated is always important, but even more so in the hot summer months. To help stay hydrated and increase my vitamin C intake, mandarin water has been my to-go drink. But sometimes you just need something different, like this delicious cantaloupe water.
Just 1 cup of cantaloupe has about 57 to 65 milligrams of vitamin C, which is about 65 to 75 percent of your recommended daily allowance. Plus, the fruit is loaded with vitamin A, too, and that's just the beginning of the health benefits of cantaloupe.
I discovered cantaloupe water when I was in Mexico. The all-inclusive resort we stayed at had cantaloupe water on their breakfast buffet. Every morning, I made a beeline to that dispenser holding that delicious orange water. Now, I make this hydrating cantaloupe water at home and sip on it whenever the mood strikes.
To make this beverage recipe you only need three simple ingredients (and I'm using the word ingredients loosely). All you need is cantaloupe, ice and water. Put the healthy ingredients into a blender and give it a whirl. Strain, pour into a glass and get to sipping!
This cantaloupe water is delicious enjoyed during the day, with breakfast or brunch instead of orange juice or whenever you want something sweet, but healthy. You could even freeze the juice for cantaloupe ice pops!
