Saying Goodbye to Fashion Icon Kate Spade: A Life Cut Short by Suicide by MomThoughts

Kate Spade was an icon and created a brand so timeless and classic. And yet, she obviously had her ghosts. Depression and mental health struggles aren't divided among class lines; the rich get no free pass. She was at the top of her game professionally, with a husband and daughter that I'm sure loved her, but sometimes that isn't enough.

Money can't buy happiness and success doesn't, either. Life is so long and yet so very short, isn't it?

If you are reading this and you're struggling, reach out. There are a million resources and people who care and who love you and would miss you if you're not here. You matter and you are important

If you don't know where else to turn, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is always available at 1-800-273-8255.

Rest easy, Kate.
