You know those kid plates with separated spaces for protein, vegetable and fruit? I love mine! I started using one, and it made me realize that I was really over-serving myself! I'm eating portions from the kids' plates now and guess what? I'm perfectly full – and I've lost 6 pounds over the last few weeks!
I'm using plates that are the size of adult plates but split into three parts. My daughters are 9 and 10; little kids need smaller plates and those might be too tiny for moms. There's something about those spaces being divided that has really helped me.
I stumbled onto this after I ran out of adult plates and used kid plates for a few days. Who knew? Even my husband likes doing it. Turns out there are "portion control" plates you can buy, but I like the idea that I'm not "portion controlling," I'm just using my kids’ plates and we are all eating like this together as a family.
