Walking up stairs at a normal pace still burns two to three times more calories than a flat brisk walk. Think of it as a more powerful walk. When climbing stairs you are pulling your weight up against gravity.
Start off slow with five to seven flights. You will increase this number because you will become stronger! And it’s lower impact because you will walk them (at first!). As your climb, you are releasing endorphins and cardio workouts help keep your heart healthy! Sound good?
