Emotional Eating: 3 Questions That May Help You Stop!

Year after year, people sabotage their good intentions of healthy eating by falling into the trap of emotional eating. Telling yourself you’re not allowed certain foods is a sure way to crave them, and then when you experience negative emotions, overeating provides temporary comfort. This typically cycles into feelings of guilt and shame. Ask yourself these three questions: 

  • Why has emotional eating served you in the past? 
  • Why isn’t this strategy working for you now? 
  • Can you forgive yourself?
