Ingredients

• 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
• 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 cup olive oil or avocado oil
• 3 tablespoons brown sugar
• 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard (or Dijon mustard)

Here's how to make it:

1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl. Season with black pepper, to taste. (Because of the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, no additional salt is needed. For a gluten-free marinade, use tamari instead of soy sauce.)
2. Whisk until the brown sugar has dissolved. Use immediately or store in an airtight container until ready to use.
