Awesome Stuffed Apples Recipe: Crisp Autumn Apples Filled With Fun & Healthy Ingredients Fruit

Cheryl Leahy

I'm constantly trying to come up with creative (and portable) ways to provide healthy snacks for my preschooler. It was actually his suggestion to put something in an apple vs. on it. Here's how I make my stuffed apples!

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

Here's how to make them:

  1. Cut the core out of an apple out by cutting similar-sized circles without going completely through to the bottom. You're forming an apple "bowl."
  2. Use a baby food spoon to scoop peanut butter into the hole where the core was.
  3. Layer in the mix-ins of your choice. (We love SunButter!)

Love this tip @cjalldressedup. One of my favorite combinations is apple, almond butter, and raisins. Tastes allllllllmost like a caramel taffy apple!! :)
