Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes plus at least 4 hours to freeze
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes plus freezing time
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 2 cups low-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 ripe peaches, diced
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
Recipe Notes
- If you don't have fresh raspberries, you could use frozen.
- Instead of honey, you could use pure maple syrup (not the imitation stuff). Depending on how sweet you'd like your frozen yogurt to be, you can start with 1/4 cup and add more, to taste, if needed.
- You can try this recipe with other berries, such as blueberries or strawberries.
- Freeze the yogurt for at least four hours (or overnight) before serving.
- Serve the ice cream in an ice cream cone or in a bowl. Topping ideas include chopped nuts, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, etc.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
- Note that the frozen yogurt can get icy. For that reason, we prefer to eat it sooner rather than later. For yogurt that has been frozen for several hours or overnight, allow to thaw at room temperature for a bit before scooping and serving.
Here's how to make it:
- Place all ingredients into a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container.
- Freeze for at least four hours or until it firms up (I froze mine overnight).
- Serve in a cone or in a bowl on its own, or with your favorite ice cream toppings.
