Ingredients

• 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup sour cream
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon dried tarragon, or to taste
• 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
• 1/4 cup celery, thinly sliced
• 1 cup red seedless grapes, halved
• 3/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Recipe Notes

• You can use a mixture of pecans and walnuts. I did! Almonds or cashews would also work for this recipe.

• If you like your chicken salad wetter, add a little more mayo.

• I used mostly white meat but included a little dark meat for the flavor.

Here’s how to make it:

1. Shred your chicken using your hands.
2. Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, black pepper, tarragon and lemon juice and add it to the bowl of shredded chicken. Blend well.
3. Fold in the celery.
4. Add the grapes and nuts.
5. Chill the chicken salad for at least an hour before serving.
