Chick-fil-a Carrot & Raisin Salad Recipe Is Grandma Approved (and Has a Special Ingredient) Salads Side Dishes Vegetables Gluten-free Vegetarian

In 2015, Chick-fil-a took their popular, old-fashioned carrot and raisin salad off the menu. Yikes! This upset quite a lot of people who enjoyed this vintage recipe like grandma used to make. But did you know that the company released the recipe for this side salad, just like they did with their cole slaw recipe? Yep, you can make it at home.

My Grammy made a carrot and raisin salad that I remember, so I can understand the nostalgia that goes with this recipe. A surprise ingredient that Chick-fil-a added to their recipe is crushed pineapple, which adds more sweetness and a different texture from the crunchy carrot. If you want to make this carrot salad at home, here is your shopping list: mayonnaise, granulated sugar, lemon juice, raisins, carrots and a can or crushed pineapple (aka special ingredient).

Serve this carrot salad as a side dish with your favorite dinners. This is a great recipe to pack in a picnic basket or pack in your lunchbox.
