I have a friend who makes the most fantastic food. She is always trying something new in her kitchen and she never fails to inspire me. She recently introduced me to this Ras el Hanout spice blend you'll want to have in your spice drawer. Different regions in North Africa vary the spices included in this Moroccan spice blend and they are all a bit different.

Here is a simple and beautiful blend to have ready for your cooking adventures. For this aromatic Ras el Hanout spice recipe you'll need ground coriander, cumin, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cinnamon, white pepper, cardamom, gloves and salt. The warm spices are stirred together. That's it. Put the finished spice blend into an airtight container or spice jar.

Use this dry DIY spice blend in Moroccan-inspired dishes like these beautiful spiced sweet potatoes with chickpeas and yogurt drizzle. How will you use it?
