2-Ingredient Baked Cajun Salmon Recipe: Meet Your New Favorite Fish Dinner Seafood Dinner

Simple and easy are two words I love for busy weeknight dinners. My family loves this two-ingredient Cajun salmon recipe so much I make it for guests as well.

I love my local spice store where I buy the Cajun seasoning required for this easy fish recipe, but feel free to try different blends suited to your families preference. Just make sure the seasoning blend doesn't contain too much salt.

The prep for this baked salmon recipe is so easy. Simply season salmon fillets with the Cajun seasoning and put onto a parchment paper-covered baking sheet. Bake the salmon until cooked through and it flakes easily. Be sure not to overcook your filets – moist salmon tastes the best.

Serve this easy salmon recipe with a vegetable and add beautiful sourdough biscuits (recipe coming) or simple baked no-knead French bread and you've got a meal worthy of Pinterest without spending the whole day in the kitchen!

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 3 minutes
Cook Time: 10 to 17 minutes (depending of thickness of fish)

Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: varies

Ingredients

  • salmon filets (I prefer thick-cut 6-ounce filets)
  • mild Cajun seasoning

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put the salmon skin side down on a parchment paper-covered baking sheet.
  2. Generously coat salmon with the Cajun seasoning on all sides.
  3. Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for 10 to 17 minutes. (For thin filets cook for 10 minutes, and for standard 6-ounce filets about 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick bake for 17 minutes.) Remove from oven and gently remove skin.
