TB12’s lucky green smoothie recipe fits right in with the green theme for St. Patrick's Day. This nutrient-dense green smoothie recipe is a great way to get more greens into your routine. It's packed with fruits and vegetables, plant-based protein and even spirulina, a supplement loaded with nutrients and anti-inflammatory properties.

Spirulina is a blue-green algae. According to WebMD, it is "believed to be one of the oldest life forms on Earth." Spirulina is a good source of thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), copper, magnesium and iron. The superfood has anti-cancer properties, may aid in heart health and supports the immune system, to name just a few healthy reasons to add it to your diet.

This easy, creamy green smoothie is made with spirulina, avocado, kale, spinach, vanilla protein, pineapple, banana and almond milk. After you enjoy one this St. Patrick's Day, it will probably become your go-to smoothie recipe for breakfast, lunch or snacking. Thanks, Tom Brady.
