The moist apple spice cake shortcut recipe is made with a box of spice cake mix, a can of apple pie filling and eggs. Four eggs, to be exact. The simple ingredients are mixed together, poured into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan and baked for about 25 to 30 minutes. How easy is that?
Serve this apple dessert recipe as-is, or add top with your favorite frosting, caramel sauce (as shown in picture), powdered sugar glaze or dust with powdered sugar. This moist apple cake is also fabulous with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

- 20 ounces (1 can) apple pie filling

Here's how to make it:
- Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. (If you only have a vanilla cake, you could use it and add your own spices to the mix: ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, apple pie spice or our favorite baking spices.)
- Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. (Sprinkle the top with some ground cinnamon, if desired.)
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 25 to 30 minutes. Store the cake in an airtight container to keep it fresher longer.
