Ingredients
- 6 Roma tomatoes
- 1 onion, cut in half
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 - 2 peppers (jalapenos, fresno, serrano, habanero, etc.)
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Put the tomatoes, onion, garlic and peppers on a baking sheet. Put them under the broiler until they char, about 4 to 5 minutes. (Watch them closely because it happens quickly!)
- Put the vegetables and cilantro, if using, into a blender. Blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm or chilled.
