Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
• 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
• 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
• crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Here's how to make it:

1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Cook the onion until soft, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds. 
2. Add the tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. 
3. Add the cream and Parmesan. Cook until the cheese has melted and sauce is heated through, about 2 minutes. Add the fresh basil and sprinkle in some crushed red pepper flakes, if using.
