Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon rapid rise yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, warmed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon butter, to cook

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl. 
  2. Add the milk, egg, vanilla and butter. Stir to combine.
  3. Let the mixture rise until it doubles in size, about 30 minutes. 
  4. Heat 1 teaspoon butter in a skillet. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter per pancake into the skillet. Cook until bubbles start to form. Flip and cook until cooked through, about 3 minutes. Serve with maple syrup or honey.
