Growing up, pea salad did nothing for me. There was one family member who brought it to functions occasionally, but she used canned (yes, canned) peas. Not a fan of mushy pea salad. But made with crunchy frozen peas, this green pea salad recipe is now a favorite.
To make this ranch pea salad recipe you will need the following budget-friendly and gluten-free ingredients: frozen green peas (read about the health benefits of peas), cheese, bacon, red onion (check out the health benefits of red onion) and ranch dressing. You can use a good quality bottled ranch salad dressing from the store or make homemade ranch.
