Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk or almond milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- chocolate chips, for top (optional)
Here’s how to make them:
- Combine the flour, sugar, chocolate chips, cocoa powder and baking soda. Mix well.
- In another bowl combine the egg, yogurt or sour cream, milk, vanilla and oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined.
- Line 12 muffin tins with paper baking liners. Fill with the batter, about 3/4 full. If desired, sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake in a preheated 400-degree F oven for about 18-20 minutes.
