Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar Recipe: A Simple & Delicious Holiday Food Gift (Keep Some for Yourself!) Sauces/Condiments Holidays

Chocolate balsamic vinegar is simply delicious. Your friends – or your family – will thank you. This easy chocolate balsamic vinegar recipe makes a great Christmas gift.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Servings: Makes 4 4-ounce bottles

Ingredients

Here’s how you make it:

  1. Reduce the vinegar by half (from 2 cups to 1 cup). Stir often over low heat for approximately 20 minutes. The vinegar will thicken and coat the pan. Set aside to cool once reduced.
  2. Dissolve sugar and salt in the water. Bring to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat to low and add cocoa, stirring until syrup begins to thicken. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Set aside to cool.
  3. Once completely cool, mix the vinegar and chocolate syrup together thoroughly.

Chocolate balsamic vinegar can be divided into bottles for gifts, served over fruit (strawberries and pineapples are a fave!), poured over ice cream or drizzled over a salad. You won't regret it!
