If you've got 10 minutes and six simple ingredients, you can have a batch of crunchy, buttery peanut brittle ready for your snacking pleasure. Almonds, cashews or pecans could be substituted for the peanuts in this easy brittle recipe.

Ingredients

Here's how to make it:

  1. Spray a baking sheet and a wooden spoon with nonstick cooking spray. 
  2. Mix sugar and corn syrup in a microwavable bowl and cook on high for 5 minutes. 
  3. Stir in peanuts and butter. Cook on high until it becomes a caramel color, 3 to 4 minutes. 
  4. Add baking soda and vanilla. Stir until smooth and foam has disappeared. 
  5. Spread onto baking sheet. Cool and break into pieces.
