Patriotic Cherries Recipe: Turn Cherries Into a Fun Red, White & Blue Snack for Memorial Day Holidays Fruit Desserts Snacks

Looking for a quick snack or dessert to whip up for your Memorial Day or July 4th gathering? Make festive patriotic cherries! These red, white and blue cherries are super simple to make. They’re not only a refreshing treat but also help dress up your holiday table.

All you need to make these candied patriotic cherries is fresh cherries, white chocolate chips, almond bark or candy coating, and blue sprinkles. Start by melting the chocolate until smooth. Dip the clean cherries three-fourths into the melted chocolate, then dip into the blue sprinkles. Instant red, white and blue! Place them on wax paper and let them dry. Done!

Ingredients

  • fresh cherries
  • white chocolate chips, white almond bark or white candy coating
  • blue sprinkles

Here's how to make it:

  1. Melt the white chocolate according to package directions. 
  2. Take washed and dried cherries and dip them about 3/4 of the way to the stem in melted white chocolate. 
  3. Then dip the bottom third into blue sprinkles. 
  4. Lay them on waxed paper to dry.
