If you ask me, spreading a flavorful creamy cheese dip on fresh bread is one of life's simple pleasures. If you agree, then I hope you will love this easy and delicious Boursin cheese dip recipe with red pepper jelly and walnuts. It's an incredibly zesty spread for baguettes, crackers, pita bread, bagels, whole wheat toast – or as the star of your next charcuterie board.
Boursin is a creamy herb cheese spread that's a blend of garlic, parsley and chives folded into Gournay cheese. Boursin cheese was created by a young French cheesemaker named François Boursin. He worked for two years on his recipe inspired by fromage frais, a traditional French cheese dish that blends garlic, fresh cream, soft cheese and herbs. In 1963, François introduced his mouth-watering cheese to the world and it's since become famous. And for good reason – it's divinely delicious! When you add the slightly sweet and spicy kick of red pepper jelly, then top it with crunchy walnuts, you get a cheese dip that's downright addictive.
The simple Boursin cheese dip is so easy and quick to make. Here are the gluten-free ingredients you'll need in order to serve up this savory cheese spread today: cream cheese, Boursin cheese, red pepper jelly and chopped walnuts (check out the health benefits of walnuts). All you do is spread the cheeses onto your serving dish of choice, layer on the jelly then top it with the walnuts. In less than 10 minutes, you're ready to serve this incredible spread to your guests (or to yourself).
Store this irresistible cheese dip in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve it as an appetizer or an unexpected bread spread with just about any dinner. It's the perfect dip when you're entertaining, or when you need some tasty comfort food while chilling on your couch. Note: make enough to share because it goes quickly!
