To make this incredible chocolate chip cookie recipe, you'll need the following ingredients: butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, an egg, vanilla extract, flour (all-purpose or gluten-free), baking soda, baking powder, salt, instant espresso powder and semisweet chocolate chips.
These moist chocolate chip cookies make for a delicious sweet snack or you can serve them for dessert after any dinner. We like to serve them warm with a little dollop of vanilla ice cream. So good!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (if you use salted butter then omit the added salt)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Here's how to make it:
- In a medium mixing bowl, add butter and both sugars. Blend with a stand mixer or hand mixer until smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla and egg.
- Blend in the flour, baking soda and powder, salt and espresso powder.
- Fold in the chocolate chips by hand and mix until well combined.
- Drop batter (about 3 tablespoons per cookie) onto a greased cookie sheet, leaving a few inches in between the cookies.
- Bake in a preheated 375 degree F oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are baked to your desired crispiness. (Add 2 minutes if you like crisp cookies.)
- Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy! Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
