Did you know alfredo sauce is one of the most googled foods? People love their alfredo sauce! This creamy homemade alfredo sauce recipe will blow your mind! The simple Italian alfredo sauce is ready in about 20 minutes and is cheesy, rich and silky smooth.
To make this easy alfredo sauce recipe you need to grab the following gluten-free ingredients from your fridge and pantry: unsalted butter, olive oil, heavy cream, fresh garlic, white pepper and Parmesan cheese. You can also add optional nutmeg.
If you've never used white pepper, I believe it's a spice you need to try. While black pepper comes from dried peppercorns, white pepper is from the same peppercorns, but they have been soaked, fermented and their outer skin removed. White pepper has a more sharp, earthy flavor than black pepper, and is a bit hotter. Some people prefer white pepper to avoid black specks in their food. Check out the health benefits of pepper.
This creamy Italian white sauce is perfect for dinner over pasta or vegetables -- or used in whatever recipes you enjoy with alfredo sauce. I used the sauce in a cauliflower alfredo bake and it was fantastic.
