Garlic Parmesan chicken wings are my favorite flavor of wings. Who can resist a crispy, garlicky, cheesy chicken wing? But chicken wings are more expensive now. So, this week instead of pricey chicken wings, I got the same flavor with this air fryer crispy garlic Parmesan chicken drumstick recipe. This budget-friendly chicken dinner was quick, easy and packed with flavor!
The juicy chicken legs cook up in an air fryer, which cuts down on time in the kitchen. The shopping list for this air fryer recipe is short, too: only five ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge and pantry. To make this easy chicken recipe you will need chicken legs, butter, fresh garlic, Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes. In a little more than 20 minutes, you'll have a plate of tasty chicken you can serve for a high-protein dinner or as an appetizer.
If you're not a fan of chicken drumsticks, you could use chicken wings or chicken thighs. Chicken thighs will take longer to cook, so be sure to adjust the cooking time. The garlic is minced for this recipe, but if you want even more garlic flavor, use a garlic press. By using a garlic press, you will get the garlic juice into the butter, resulting in a garlic flavor explosion.
I served my crispy chicken for dinner with a side dish of fresh broccoli (check out the health benefits of broccoli). These chicken legs could also be served during the big game as an appetizer with a side of blue cheese or ranch dressing.
