If you follow me on 30Seconds, then you know how much I love banana bread. Banana bread is, hands-down, the best thing to make with overripe bananas (check out all of our banana bread recipes). But sometimes you need a break from banana bread, and that's where this simple banana dessert recipe comes in. This creamy crustless banana pudding cake recipe with chocolate chips is so easy and delicious. It's the next best thing to make with overripe bananas!
This yummy banana chocolate chip dessert recipe is moist and dense, making it feel more like a torte than a cake. It's similar to a British banana pudding – gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside – and super easy to make. Plus, it includes a bunch of overripe bananas, so you get the health benefits of bananas.
Interestingly, the list of ingredients for this banana pudding cake does not include a box of pudding mix. To make this moist and dense banana cake recipe, here are the seven simple ingredients you'll need: mashed overripe bananas, melted butter, an egg, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, flour and chocolate chips. You combine the ingredients then bake them up in a cake pan until cooked through and golden brown.
This creamy banana chocolate chip pudding cake makes a lovely snack or the perfect dessert served with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. So easy and delicious!
