You need only two ingredients and about 15 minutes to make this simple seafood recipe. Here's what you need to whip up this tasty dinner tonight: fresh salmon and extra virgin olive oil. You can season it was sea salt and black pepper, to taste, if you like. Then you just pop it into the oven!
Serve this irresistible gluten-free salmon with your favorite side dishes for a delicious dinner that will get you out of the kitchen fast. I served it with a Greek salad for an incredibly delicious (and nutritious) meal. I also served it topped with my honey mustard yogurt dipping sauce. So good!
Cuisine: Mediterranean
Prep Time: 1 minute
Cook Time: 12 to 15 minutes (ovens vary)
Total Time: 13 to 16 minutes
Servings: 3
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh salmon filet
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Recipe Notes
- I like to season this salmon with sea salt and black pepper. If you like, you can add a dash of whatever seasonings you like, such as garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, etc.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave.
Here's how to make it:
- Place the salmon filet, skin side down, in a casserole dish or baking pan (I lined mine with aluminum foil for easier cleanup). Rub the olive oil over the salmon. Season with sea salt and black pepper, to taste, if desired.
- Bake the salmon at 400 degrees F for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until desired doneness. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer. Remove salmon from oven and serve.
