Melt-In-Your-Mouth 4-Ingredient Flank Steak Recipe Feeds a Crowd

It's getting to be the kind of weather that begs for cookouts and family gatherings outside. Flank steak is a great option when feeding a crowd because it is less expensive than buying everyone a steak of their own. This grilled flank steak recipe has only four ingredients and is packed with flavor. Not only could you feed a crowd with this recipe, you could also freeze it for later and use for quick dinners or meal prepping.

To make this juicy, tender marinated grilled flank steak recipe you will need just four ingredients. Four! Here is what you'll need to grab so you can get grilling: flank steaks, beer, Italian salad dressing and dry fajita seasoning. The steaks are marinated for at least eight hours before being grilled. (If you don't have a grill, you could cook them in a grill pan or in a cast iron skillet.)

  • Rare: 115 to 125 degrees F, bright red center 
  • Medium rare: 125 to 135 degrees F, with a very pink center 
  • Medium: 135 to 145 degrees F, light pink center 
  • Medium well: 140 to 155 degrees F, slightly pink center 
  • Well: 160 to 175 degrees F, brown color, no pink

Here's how to make it: 

  1. In a bowl, combine the beer, salad dressing and fajita seasoning. 
  2. Put each flank steak into a food storage bag. Divide the marinade between the steaks. Marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours.
  3. When ready to cook, remove the steaks from the marinade. Cook on a hot grill until steaks reach desired doneness, about 20 minutes. Let the steaks rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
