Cuisine: American / Mediterranean
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 12 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 salmon fillets (about 5 ounces each)
- sea salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Here's how to make it:
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil all over the parchment paper and spread to coat.
- Put the salmon skin side down into the dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. (If you're adding any additional seasonings or chopped garlic, add it now. If you want to fancy up the salmon, you could add your favorite seasoning, herbs or minced fresh garlic.)
- Bake in a preheated 450-degree F oven for about 12 to 15 minutes. The USDA recommends fish be cooked to 145 degrees F on a food thermometer. (This method can be used of any type of fish, just remember that the cooking time will vary with the thickness of the fish.) Store any leftover fish in an airtight container in the fridge.
