Are Your Oven-Ready Lasagna Noodles Dry & Chewy? Try This Pasta Hack for Perfect Noodles Every Time

If you've ever used the oven-ready lasagna (aka no-boil lasagna noodles) that doesn't need boiling, you may have noticed that the pasta often comes out dry and chewy, even after cooking. Here is a tip to help make your finished product moist and delicious:

  • Add water on top of each layer of the pasta before you add the sauce and cheese.

How does it work? During the cooking process in the oven, the water will seep into the pasta, keeping it from drying out. It's that easy. Your lasagna should come out perfectly!

I've never had this issue but it could be because I actually add water to my sauce. It's not a lot of water that I add but I do it because that's how I get all of the sauce out of a jar or can. Like today's lasagna, I am using 3 jars of Classico sauce, so I added about an inch of water to one jar put the lid on gave it a shake then added that water and sauce into the 2nd jar and so on. I wonder if adding that bit of water to my sauce prevents this.
