Before we dive into this delicious spinach dip recipe, did you know that yogurt may help reduce blood pressure? Research has found that regularly eating yogurt may improve systolic blood pressure and arterial blood pressure.

If you're not one to pop the top off of a container of yogurt and eat it with a spoon, you'll need new recipes using yogurt. This easy spinach dip recipe not only contains yogurt, but healthy spinach and carrots. So take a deep breath, relax, grab a carrot or celery stick and enjoy.

Total Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 12

  • 8 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 4 ounces low-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper and add more garlic powder and onion powder, if needed.
  2. Refrigerate about 1 hour, if you can, before serving for flavors to meld together. Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers or chips.

Note: You can pulse the dip in the blender if you want a creamier dip with smaller pieces of spinach.
