Ingredients
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
- 1 /4 cup flour
- 1 /2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the butter in a saucepot. Cook until it begins to brown.
- Whisk in the flour, seasoning salt, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, about 2 minutes
- Pour in the chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil. Boil about 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, or until it's at desired consistency. Taste and add more salt and pepper, if desired.
